Building more onto last week’s post……
Hebrews 11:13-14 (NLT) “All of these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own.”
Some of the those in the Bible who had a word from God and trusted Him to complete the promise they were given were not able to see the promise come to manifest in their lifetime. Moses was not able to go into the promised land but God gave him a glimpse of it. Do you think that you would be okay with knowing that you may not see the completion of the promise or dream that you have worked so hard to seeing, but others after you would see it manifest? The flesh might not be okay with that but God is calling us to be focused on His eternal rewards and seeing the promises He has stored up for us in the heavenly realm. Our work here is for a greater purpose. The hopes and dreams He has given you are not only for you, but for others. Bottom line, He wants to use you to draw people to Him. As believers that is the ultimate goal, to see lives saved and people made whole in Christ.
Some of the Bible figures waited almost a lifetime and held on and saw their promise come about. Are you willing to wait for years and years? Are you content in the process and preparing season on the way to your dream? These are serious questions to ask yourself because I don’t believe that many are really ready honestly to go through what is necessary to get to the place God has prepared for them. It is so important to stay close to the Lord during that time and follow His guidance closely through His word and Holy Spirit. During the waiting period many get discouraged and fall away. It is very easy to, especially if you have been waiting for years for a promotion of some sort, a marriage to be fixed, etc. People begin to lose faith. If you have big dreams, allow your faith to match it. If your dream is worth it and you have given it to God, He is able to carry you through it! He is faithful to do it! You have to understand anything worth having usually has a fight attached to it and we fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in high places. These demonic spirits would love to use your own mind or others to plant seeds of doubt so that they can draw you away from your God given dream. DON’T ALLOW THAT! SHAKE IT OFF! No matter how long you have been waiting stand strong on what God has spoken in His word and push through.
I titled this blog post “Death of Dream” because people allow their dreams to die if they do not see them happen as they had planned or in their time frame. God is not like us and our will should align with His (Isaiah 55). Make sure that your head is in the right place following your dreams and the pursuit of them. What are your motives? God wants to use the dreams and promises He gives not only to bless you but so that others will be blessed, keep that in mind. Ask Him for His guidance on these matters.
God showed me something a few days ago about the word “Inspire”. The word “Inspire” means to fill. When you breathe in, inspire, you are filling your lungs with oxygen. Just like God Inspires us with His word to seek Him and follow Him. He Inspires us with dreams and His awesome promises. He breathes the best into us if we submit to Him. Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Lack of oxygen = death, Lack of God’s Vision/Dreams/Promises/Focus/Presence = death
I have added scriptures at the end to encourage you, please read below….
James 1:2-8 NLT [2] Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. [3] For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. [4] So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. [5] If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. [6] But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. [7] Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. [8] Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 King James Version (KJV)
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
Ezekiel 37:10 NLT [10] So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet-a great army.
Inspiration: God breathed, filled you with a dream
God can breathe life into into your dead, broken dreams. Be encouraged, don’t give up, keep pressing forward no matter how things look, things will get better, give God a chance.
