Faith Driven Dreams

Hebrews 11:1  Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (New Living Translation)

If you go to Hebrews chapter 11 there are great examples of the heroes of faith who stuck with God’s promises and saw them through.  Even if they did not see the end to all that God had in store they still stood on God’s promises and they found great favor with God.

Examples:

  1. Noah and the building of the ark even though everyone thought he was crazy.

  2. Abraham going into a land that was unfamiliar to him.

  3. Sarah giving birth to a child, well after her child bearing years.

I could go on and on with this subject but I will try to keep it brief because this is a blog not a book.  God is wanting us to live by faith.  To have faith in what we can’t necessarily see, faith in what at times seems like the impossible.  In Genesis God simply spoke the universe and everything into existence, just think of that same power working in your life.  When God gives you a promise, no matter how ridiculous it may sound to others he expects you to hold onto it and move forward towards it.  It pleases God when we have faith (Hebrews 11:6).

In case you are feeling that you are behind in life and your God given dreams are delayed read this scripture, “Then the Lord said to me, Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.  This vision is for a future time.  It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed” (Habakkuk 2:2-3 NLT).  Remember that God has a plan and He will absolutely see it through to completion.   He never does things half way, you will be ready to receive what He has for you when it comes in His timing.  Make sure that you are praying to be prepared and ready for what you are asking for, there is still plenty of work that needs to be done in the waiting period.  Also make sure the you are praying that His will be done, not your own.  Your desires must line up with the word of God, God cannot work against what is written in His word.  Jesus said, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.  For the wine would bust the wineskins, and the wine and the skins would both be lost.  New wine calls for new wineskins” (Mark 2:22 NLT).  In other words, adding to what I wrote before, make sure you are prepared and you have made room for the NEW blessings and NEW levels God has in store for your life.  Be blessed.
