Hebrews 11:1 KJV [1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1-3 MSG [1-2] The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. [3] By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.
This morning when I woke up, I was thinking about my faith. My faith that things that I have been praying for and those very things God has promised would materialize. Faith is the main ingredient (not the only) to move things from God’s promise (heavenly realm) to the promise showing up in the earthly realm. You still need works along with faith to get things accomplished “Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself” (James 2:17 NASB). Using faith and works to accomplish your promises are vital to success. If you want to accomplish your business plans, write a book, new career, etc. your faith needs to be fully activated and in alignment with the plans God has for you individually, not looking at what others are doing in a covetous way, but looking at what path is before you and working to achieve your own goals purposefully and intentionally. It is very good to have people around you who sincerely pray for you and uplift you, we need that, you are not an island, but make sure you are developing your gifts and talents too.
The first scripture above is key. Everything that we believe and everything that our belief system is based upon is founded on faith. First, when we come to Christ we believe, then we confess that he is Lord, then we are saved. Just that one principle shows us how we are to function in the kingdom of God. We come to him humbly, believe what he’s said, confess it/act on it/work at it while he’s perfecting us (making us better day by day with each trial). Through trials we continue to have faith and we continue to work it out. Just because you are going through something doesn’t mean the promise is over and you stop working; some way, some how you will finish.
Philippians 1:6 ESV [6] And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:31,37 NASB [31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? [37] But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Get that?! You OVERWHELMINGLY conquer! There is nothing that can stop you. Only you can stop you from achieving what God has promised. Keep your head in the game and remember through having faith in Him and His word you can and WILL move mountains.
Psalm 128:2 ESV [2] You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.
