(1 Corinthians 2:9 MSG)
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us…” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)
It’s so easy to give up, especially when you have been waiting a long time for something. Recently I took a trip to a place that has a huge amount of tourist traffic. In order to see some of the attractions a person needs plenty of patience to wait for parking or to wade through crowds to get to see anything. Well to make a long story short, we were waiting for a parking spot. We circled for at least 45 minutes, waiting and waiting for someone to leave. Gas was running low in the compact rental car and we starting saying amongst ourselves, “you know what lets just go get gas and forget it.” As soon as we made a decision to give up on finding a parking spot, a car put on it’s reverse lights to come out of the congested parking area AND the car was parked right next to us! It was like God said okay, you’ve waited long enough, you’re ready for this parking spot right now. It was the perfect spot and in the middle of everything. The moral of this small story is that when you wait on God, even when you are at the end of your rope and you have no other options He will show up in the midst all of a sudden. He will give you exactly what you need at the perfect time. He only gives the very best and always exceeds your expectations. Also make sure to ask Him that He would reveal His presence in the smallest of situations in the waiting period, keep your eyes on Him. Just wait on Him!
